Our wonderful photographer took some great family photos this month. So many favorites... I feel incredibly blessed to have these beautiful photos to capture our family at this moment in time.

A photo shoot ... or four (or five)
Well, in typical "me" fashion, I started planning Mia's birthday party in October. But, to my credit, the holidays are quickly approaching, and those invitations need to get in the mail. I set to work trying to snag a good photo for her party invitation over the past week.
Here's a recap (oh, and I'm quite obviously undecided as to what she should be wearing!):
Photo shoot #1
um, yeah, except I wasn't planning on a "it's my party and I'll cry if I want to" theme
Photo shoot #2
so, not quite as bad, but still pretty serious. I was hoping for a "happy" picture
Photo shoot #3
much better ... but then I decided that the colors and outfit were all wrong
Photo shoot #4
Photo shoot #5 ... yes, there was a FIFTH one and the invitation photo is from that one (in yet another outfit), and you'll just have to wait to see the winning picture!!!

From Meg Sexton Photography's blog
Reposted from the Meg Sexton Photography blog (http://megsextonphotography.com/blog/)
New year, new life {South Bay newborn photographer}January 26, 2010
The new year seems to have brought with it a flood of newborns…and I couldn’t be happier. What other subject would let me bend their sleepy bodies or wrap them in oversized knit hats? (Well, that’s probably for the best!) I just love being around babies.
Little Mia was 11 days of perfection. She tolerated costume changes, location changes, and even a few diaper changes all without making a peep.

And this is almost the same photo – but I just love it in black and white. So I’m sharing both!

Thank you S family for letting me capture sweet baby Mia.

That first photo Meg, WOW, it might be my favorite shot of yours ever. Even cuter than my kid (and you know how tough that is for a mom to say).
Great work.
