Home Alone (with Daddy)

Mommy took a little extended weekend getaway with her girlfriends to Scottsdale, so Daddy was in charge all. weekend. long.

Except for when the kids stayed the night at Day and Paw's house (WHAT?!  That so does not count as single parenting for the weekend!).

Anyhow, everyone had fun.  Here are a few pictures from their weekend without Mommy.

Extreme bubble bathing at Day & Paw's

Special dinner in front of the TV

Art Project with Daddy (bonus points for Daddy for that one)

Special champagne toast and a fabulous bottle of wine sent from Daddy to the ladies at our dinner out (more bonus points!)

Mia before school ... Daddy took this picture to prove his outfit selection and hair combing skills ... hmmm, well, at least she was there on time :)

Bubbles with Cosmo

Meet Cosmo.  Uncle Todd's dog.  He looks scary, but he's not.  In fact, he's the opposite.  An absolute love.  He's incredibly gentle with the kids (with the exception of his wagging tail - it could cause injury), super playful with his cousin Brooklyn, and completely obsessed with Todd.

Oh, and he likes bubbles :)

Silly tub night

Luke had a fun-filled bath this past week ... well, most of his baths are fun-filled, but this one included a lollipop (a treat that I wanted him to finish, but wasn't into holding up bedtime for), blue tub water (thanks to the crayola color changing tablets from Santa), lots of bubbles, and ... and shampoo mohawk!

Hi Mommy, I Paw (Luke's favorite thing to do right now is put bubbles on his chin and pretend he has a white beard - just like Paw!)

A wet week

The last week has been pretty wet, cold, and drizzly around here. So, what's a boy to do, you might ask? Here's what I've been up to:

Taking baths with LOTS of bubbles ... I've always loved my bath, but this many bubbles makes them even more fun!

Hanging out with Brooklyn (who I now affectionately refer to as "B")

Wearing Daddy's sunglasses around the house hoping that maybe it will help the sun to come out so that we can resume our daily walks and trips to the park.

Trying out Daddy's slippers ... boy are they hard to walk in!!!

AND ... practicing with my new potty seat! We're just doing an introduction to the potty right now, so we really aren't trying to get rid of diapers. I mostly sit on it (often) and pretend with my clothes on, while repeating "poop, poop." Fun stuff!

Speaking of things I'm saying, I have a TON of new words. Mommy has officially lost track!
