Progress

From a baby's room to a big boy's room ... not quite done, but almost!
From a guest room, to the beginnings of a baby girl's room
31 weeks and counting!

Luke got a real big boy bed this weekend! I was a bit concerned about how he might react to all of the changes, particularly moving his crib and beloved rocking chair out of his room and into the baby's ... but I apparently had nothing to worry about. He's sleeping GREAT in his new bed and was thrilled (over-the-top thrilled!) to have a big boy bed!

A big boy room...

...is coming!

The first signs of it showed up this week when the twin-sized firetruck sheets arrived in the mail.

As you can see, Luke is ready to put them on his new bed ... only a few more weeks now until the new furniture arrives!

Bedtime chronicles

As you will see in my previous post, Luke is doing well sleeping in his bed at night. We have even gone a few nights without the pacifier (which I'm hoping to get rid of soon!).

First night without the bink:

Another night with no bink ... and quite the position, I just had to take a picture!

Last night it was honestly at least 80 degrees in the house. I dressed Luke in his coolest pjs for bed. When I went to check on him before I went to sleep, I found him completely wrapped up in his quilt, hot and sweaty:

Bedtime stories

Sometimes beds are overrated ...

...and sometimes they aren't.

After spending a couple of nights falling asleep on the floor, I've decided that it is actually quite a lot more comfortable to just sleep in the bed. Not to mention that somehow I always wake up in bed anyways (hmm?).

Occasionally, I still peek my head out of my room once after bedtime, just to be sure nothing exciting is going on, and if the coast is clear, I close my door and head to bed.
