Say yes to yogurt!
Luke LOVES yogurt. Sometimes he squeals when he sees it! Even when it seems that he is completely full, he always has room for at least a few bites of yogurt. I had to get it on video. Here's a clip from lunch today. He ate sweet potatoes, peas, brown rice, tofu ... and was just about finished when I offered the yogurt.

Luke's 1st Easter
Luke had such a nice 1st Easter. Michael's parents were out from NJ, and we all met my parents up in Tahoe for the long weekend. Luke loved having all of his grandparents there, showering him with attention.

New developments since my last post:
1) Grandpa Saccento hung Luke's swing in the backyard

2) Luke's first top tooth came through this morning (pictures to come of that ... when we can actually see it and assuming that he lets me anywhere near his mouth, which is NOT happening right now)
3) He's really starting to move around. Still not an official "crawler," but getting closer (and faster) all the time. He gets that he needs to lift up his knees, which he pretty much does, but still hasn't put it all together yet - I'll keep you posted!

Diaper change gone wild!
Luke has become very difficult to change. He wants to touch everything and roll right off of the changing pad. So, yesterday I thought that it would be best to just change him on the floor. Well, it got out of hand and so after he was cleaned up, I decided to give in to him for a few minutes and let him roll around in the nude. He thought this was wonderful ... but, of course, he decided to pee on the floor in the process.
Here he is (probably peeing as I took the picture)

Now, can you see the spot? Just to the right of his tummy ... yep, he rubbed his belly in it:

Then his hand:

Next his knee:

Ah, that was fun!

Luke's friends
Luke has two stuffed animals in his bed - he loves them both. We will often hear him after we put him to bed or early in the morning chatting away with his animal friends. However, when it is time to sleep, he always turns to his blue bear. Tonight he spent a really long time talking away in his room, and when it was finally quiet and I went in to check on him, this is what I found.

He fell asleep talking to his bear ... too cute!

A weekend in the snow
Watch him go!
We've almost got ourselves a crawler! The actual method isn't quick, takes tons of energy, and employs rolling as a means of covering ground, but he's definitely moving. Have a look ...

Cat toys and other
Luke and Linus often share toys these days. Linus loves Luke's train, and Luke seems to enjoy Linus' feather teaser. He had fun inspecting it today, but when the feathers touched his face, he wasn't so sure anymore. Nonetheless, he went back for more again and again. He cracks me up!

After a full day of visiting the ladies (and gentlemen) of Evergreen School, Luke ended the day with a walk and a bit of Baby Einstein (with his toy hammer!).

Seriously, he makes my everyday happy.
Hope everyone is having a good week!

Man in the mirror, teeth, laundry ... Mom rambles
Luke is so much fun these days, I can't help but want to share with all of you. Here are a few pictures from today:

1 - Luke checking himself out in the mirror - he had a great time talking to the "other baby."

2 - Check out his two bottom teeth - he's really showing them off in this one

3 - He has discovered that if he tips the laundry basket over, stuff fall out. He LOVES to do this, much to my dismay, especially when it contains folded laundry (like this basket DID)
Look for more video to come soon - I think we may have a crawler on our hands in the next few weeks. He's starting to move around just a little bit and today he discovered that he can really scoot backwards if he's on the hardwood floors. Uh oh!
Whoopsie!
Luke loves the word "whoopsie." Not sure why, but it cracks him up. It all started with Grammy saying it to him ... and now we all use it (great!).
Actually this video has nothing to do with that word other than explaining why I would ever say it (you'll hear me in the video).
I took this last week - not really of anything in particular, just trying to capture his cutenss :)
Happy Sunday!

Dancing and clapping
Another video for today. Thanks to James, I now am learning how to move video from our camcorder to the computer, so this is my first attempt at that.
Luke loves to dance (rock back and forth) and clap to music. Here's a clip from this morning:

The weather is beautiful today, so Luke and I took a long walk and went to the park. Pictures of him swinging to come soon!
